Say hello to Spring with our new baby, Lucky Ducky, who will brighten your nursery with her beautiful features and fresh floral ensemble!
“Spring is a lovely reminder of how beautiful change can truly be.”
This year’s arrival of Spring has been very different to that of years prior, as people around the world are staying home and facing uncertain times. But after the darkness comes the dawn, and the season of Spring is a symbol of that – that times will change, the sun will shine, and flowers will bloom again.
Easter has always been a time when we celebrate hope and promise, which is why this Easter, we have launched our adorable new arrival that personifies optimism and positivity, with her cheerful expression and colorful ensemble. Lucky Ducky, sculpted by world-renowned artist Ping Lau, is our beautiful African-American reborn baby girl, whose theme was conceptualized around one of our favorite things about Spring – the migration of ducks as the very first signs of the season!
As a recreation of Rainbow Blessings: Faith, this time with a caramel skin tone and complimenting gray eyes, our in-house designer wanted to create an outfit for this realistic baby with bright hues to match her beautiful complexion. She designed a custom illustration of beautiful Spring flowers with bright pinks, blues, and yellows, that would eventually become the print of the baby’s romper. To be worn on top of her romper, Diane designed a jumper dress and headband in a contrasting sky blue polka dotted print to further emphasize this doll’s Spring theme and all the fresh colors associated with the season.
In keeping with the inspiration of Spring ducks, Diane included an embroidered yellow duck at the hem of the baby’s jumper and also included in her ensemble adorable duck accessories such as her snuggly soft plush duck booties, and a plush Ducky lovie with the inside of the lovie printed with the same polka dotted pattern of the baby’s jumper.
With this baby’s beautiful seasonal outfit complete, this stunning reborn doll was given the name Lucky Ducky as a reminder of gratitude, as we embrace the change of the season with its promise of beautiful new beginnings.
